Sunlight in a Cloudy Day
There was a positive note on the NPR morning I discussed a few days ago.
Two political pundits were discussing the calls for ‘bipartisanship’ that have filled the air around Washington, DC, lately. They pointed out that they’d never heard of anyone saying “what you propose goes against my deepest beliefs and interests, but I’ll waive them in order to further bipartisanship”.
Instead, people always use it to mean “you people in the other party should shut up and agree with me”.
That kind of honesty I can appreciate.
