Reduced Failure

The garden last year mostly failed. This year, progress! Of a sort. Partial failure of a lesser degree!

I think the problem may be in trying to get seeds germinated on site. Between the birds and the insects, very little seems to sprout. I can manage transplants, but some things can’t be moved once they’ve started.

Dill has been especially difficult. Only one plant sprouted – and because it has a taproot, it doesn’t take kindly to being replanted. The Oxheart tomatoes are coming along beautifully, though. Now if I could just figure out why some of the leaves are coming in upside down…
